What is the Internet of Things?
The Internet of Things (IoT) is a network of physical objects, such as vehicles, buildings and machines that are equipped with sensors and connected to each other through the internet. It enables these objects to collect data from their environment, communicate with other devices and even interact autonomously without any human intervention. By connecting various smart devices together in an IoT network, it allows for greater efficiency and automation across multiple platforms.
Examples of the Internet of Things
Smart Homes:
- One example of how IoT technology can be used is in Smart Homes. This type of system uses sensors placed around your home that can detect motion or changes in temperature, which then triggers certain actions like turning on lights or adjusting heating levels.
Connected Cars:
- Another example would be Connected Cars. These are cars that have been integrated into an IoT system so they can send real-time information about their location, speed and performance back to a central hub where this data can be analyzed for improved safety measures or better fuel efficiency.

These types of gadgets track things like heart rate , activity level , sleep patterns etc . They could also provide notifications when something needs attention – like if someone falls ill or has had too much caffeine ! < br/ >
